Opening Day Palm Petal Workshop (noon – 4 p.m.)
Village Shalom staff, residents, families and members of the community are invited to participate in the creation of flowers made by molding clay into one’s palm to form individualized petals. This simple, tactile gesture produces beautiful, personal flowers in a group context to compose a community garden that will be on view throughout the exhibition in a celebration of life, memory, growth, individuality, beauty and generosity.
