Opening Launch of the Exploration Stations!
All visitors are invited to contribute a creation on the first day of this evolving exhibition! Art therapists, Sherri Jacobs and Kaley Wajcman will be on hand to help guide individual and group activities.

Bisque Crayon Tile Project
Led by artists from Belger Crane Yard Studios. Participating organization: Johnson County Developmental Supports.
Participants will create a wax-resist surface on clay tiles and glaze them on site.

Visualizing Echoes
Led by Gloria Baker Feinstein and Sherri Jacobs, in collaboration with the Midwest Jewish Artists Lab, in partnership with the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City.
Using Cyanotype sun-prints (light sensitive muslin fabric), this intergenerational workshop will offer families an opportunity to capture memories and sentimental imagery on fabric.

Repurpose, Invent, Collaborate!

Utilizing electrical wire, straws, and twist ties, participants will create their own sculptures and combine them into a large-scale gallery installation.

Mind Mapping for Veterans
Led by Sherri Jacobs, Joseph Williams, and Walt Disney, MS, LMFT (former Navy Seal), in partnership with Operation Art.
Through creative mind mapping exercises, this workshop is designed to enhance veteran’s short and long-term goals, and expand perspectives on reintegrating into civilian life.

Grump Meter Workshop
Led by Lynn Kaufman, Licensed Clinical Social Worker and founder of the Grump Meter, Sherri Jacobs and Kaley Wajcman. Participants: Ma’assim Tovim Youth Camp, JCC
This interactive workshop helps kids of all ages and families learn how to identify anger triggers and control anger by using a Grump Meter, a ladder-like, simple to use tool with colors for different levels of moods and anger.
