JASON POLLEN: WOUNDED/HEALING
May 29 – July 10, 2011
Opening Reception: Sunday, May 29, 2011
Artist Remarks: 3pm
A solo exhibition of new abstract and figurative works by Jason Pollen that considers the physical and emotional vulnerability inherent within the human condition and the miraculous and intentional journey toward healing, understanding, and adaptation. These works echo the wordless world of the child at play with fervent determination and undiminished curiosity as the artist’s hands manipulate dyes, brushes, needles, and thread to coax fabric and fiber into evocative narrative surfaces.
