The Epsten Gallery is pleased to announce the spectacular annual benefit exhibition, UrbanSuburban XI: Transition, Experience, Adventure, opening on Sunday, August 30, 2015, with a public reception and artist Meet & Greet from 1-4 p.m. The exhibition will remain open through Sunday, November 1, 2015.
With work for sale by over 60 emerging and established studio artists from the greater Kansa City metropolitan area, UrbanSuburban XI is a
dynamic, wide-ranging exhibition featuring something for everyone.
April Watson, Curator of Photography at the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, served as Guest Juror for UrbanSuburban XI selecting the work for the exhibition this year. Ms. Watson will also conduct studio visits with select artists as a component of this year’s program.
A range of styles and media, including painting, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, photography, works on paper, and a few choice selections of wearable art will be on display and available for purchase. UrbanSuburban XI supports the exhibitions, community-based art programming and services provided by the Epsten Gallery, and the artists who make this work possible.
In conjunction, The Epsten Gallery Foundation’s Patron Party will be held at the magnificent Sunset Hill home of Brad and Theresa Freilich on Wednesday, September 30, 2015. This ticketed event, a benefit for the Epsten Gallery, is honoring our Director Emeritus, Eileen Garry, for her outstanding contributions and service.
